The revenue of Russian IT companies at the end of 2023 increased by 43% compared to 2022 and reached 5.5 trillion rubles. The head of the Ministry of Digital Development, Maksut Shadayev, spoke about this, according to the department’s press service.
According to Shadayev, revenue from the implementation of Russian solutions amounted to 2.8 billion rubles, which represents a year-on-year growth of 31%. The number of specialists employed in the industry increased by 13%, up to 857 thousand people, the share of the industry in Russia’s GDP almost reached 2%, noted the head of the Ministry of Digital Development.
Previously, the Ministry of Digital Development took the initiative to deny accreditation to foreign-controlled IT companies.
