Ozon has changed the methodology for calculating service fees at member collection points

Ozon reported that one of the most frequently asked questions from partners is to take into account the cost of expensive goods (more than 5 thousand rubles) when calculating the service fee. If a collection point issues many similar products, this will affect the volume of its turnover and, consequently, the size of the collection.

For example, the number of partners for whom the remuneration will be maximum (20-40% of remuneration) will be reduced by half after the new calculation: “from 1% of entrepreneurs to 0.5%”, according to Ozon calculations .

After paying the service fee, these points will continue to be profitable, the company says. They also noted that for 92.5% of partners the remuneration will not exceed 4% of the remuneration, and for the majority it will be within 20 rubles.

“The company will not reduce the percentage of remuneration of all partners, as proposed by one of the collection point agent associations,” Ozon concluded.

• In the second decade of March it became known about Ozon’s plans to introduce a service fee for owners of associated collection points from April. It was reported that the amount of the fee will be calculated individually based on many factors, including the turnover of the establishment.
• Ozon intends to use the funds from the fees to invest in attracting customers, ensuring affordable prices, promoting pickup points and other purposes.
