Basis, a Russian developer of solutions for organizing dynamic infrastructure, virtual desktops and providing cloud services, was the first in Russia to introduce an ecosystem of virtualization products and technologies completely independent of imports with its own code base.
The solutions included in the ecosystem are not inferior in capabilities to their foreign counterparts, help customers increase the share of use of domestic software as part of digital transformation strategies, and meet government requirements in terms of reliability and security.

The products of the new Basis ecosystem, from tools to manage virtual infrastructure and means to protect it to a conveyor to organize the entire development cycle, are the company’s own developments. Its flagship products are Basis Dynamix, a platform for managing virtual servers and containers, and Basis Workplace 2.0, a desktop virtualization platform. Its functionality is fully compatible with foreign products, for example, from VMware and Microsoft (Azure/Hyper-V).
Basis Dynamix is available in three configurations, adapted to different customer needs:
-
Basis Dynamix Standard is a simple and flexible virtualization environment management system. It is suitable for customers who need basic functionality, for example, to organize a cost-effective cloud on virtual machines;
-
Basis Dynamix Enterprise is a high-performance solution based on dynamic infrastructure that allows you to manage virtual environments. Supports Kubernetes deployment automation and infrastructure-as-code approach. Suitable for large companies to organize an enterprise-level cloud;
-
Basis Dynamix Cloud Control is a solution to manage clusters located in different data centers through a single management interface. Suitable for organizations with an extensive network of regional offices, for a group of companies or cloud providers.
Another flagship product, Basis Workplace 2.0, is designed to create and manage a virtual desktop infrastructure. The client receives convenient administration and user support tools. Compared to the previous version, Basis Workplace 2.0 runs 22% faster and has almost reached parity in performance with foreign solutions.
In addition to the flagship products, the new Basis product ecosystem includes complementary solutions that cover the range of tasks associated with dynamic infrastructure management:
-
Base Migration Assistant: A migration assistant that provides fast and secure migration from various foreign virtualization systems;
-
Basis Virtual Protect for backing up virtual machines and Kubernetes clusters;
-
Basis Guard to ensure a high level of availability of business applications thanks to data replication to a backup site;
-
Digital Energy Base to organize the full cycle of development, testing and maintenance of the information system;
-
Professional Services include 24/7 technical support and consulting services related to the use and implementation of Basis products.
To protect end devices, data, virtualization systems and cloud platforms, Basis included solutions that provide information security in the ecosystem: Basis Workplace Security and Basis Virtual Security. Additionally, several products in the ecosystem are FSTEC certified, allowing their use in organizations with higher information security requirements.
The Basis ecosystem helps the digital transformation of companies: thanks to server virtualization, it is possible to use physical servers up to 30% more efficiently, and the transfer of information processing to the cloud allows reducing the company’s operating costs to equip employees’ workplaces.
“The Basis team has accumulated more than 10 years of experience in the field of virtualization and has applied it to create a new ecosystem of products that fully meets the needs of customers in various segments of the economy. Basis is the only provider on the Russian market of infrastructure solutions with its own code base.
Our products meet or exceed international analogues, allowing customers to increase the share of Russian software usage as part of their digital transformation strategies and save up to 90% of costs and time during migration. “Basis” is the leader in virtualization in the Russian market, ensuring the operation of more than 95% of the capacity on the Unified State Cloud Platform. More than 120 government information systems and services are already using our solutions, confirming the success of their implementation”said David Martirosov, CEO of Basis.
