Solar Group acquired a stake in the IT company Secure-T, which specializes in developments in the field of security awareness, Solar’s press service reported. The transaction amount and share size are not specified. The agreement will allow the group to increase its competitiveness in the field of information security training.

As Solar noted, the agreement will allow the group to move from the sales model of the MSS supplier to its own developments.
According to Igor Heresh, Head of Asset Management and M&A at Solar Group, as the company goes for an integrated approach to cybersecurity issues, it is important to have its own security awareness solution.
The integration of Secure-T will help strengthen the group’s leadership position in the information security market through new technologies and the high experience of the development team.
Secure-T is developing the Awareness Platform training platform, which includes a module for creating training pages and phishing attacks, the functionality of a distance learning system (DLS) for employees, a training course designer, and a of analysis.
Secure-T itself believes that cooperation with Solar will help take the company’s solutions to a new level.
The deal became part of the Solar investment program worth 22 billion rubles, which the group launched at the end of 2022. The purchase of a stake in Secure-T became the third M&A activity within the strategy. Previously, the company acquired shares of Elvis-Plus and 100% of the assets of the NTB company.
