The company decided to change the name and logo, maintaining continuity with the current brand. The rebranding will be carried out based on the operator’s decision not to renew the license to use the Tele2 brand, the press service noted.
In April 2022 it became known that the Swedish telecommunications company Tele2 AB refused to renew the license to use the brand for the Russian operator Tele2 Russia. The license expires on December 31, 2024.
Following the application of the Swedish Tele2 AB, the Russian telecom operator Tele2 filed an application with Rospatent to register a trademark containing the t2 element.
