The court dismissed Oleg Tinkov’s appeal against the decision to pay 20 million rubles to Oleg Deripaska in a claim for the protection of honor and dignity. The court’s decision on the payment has come into force, Interfax reported citing Deripaska’s lawyer.
In October 2023, the court decided to recover 20 million rubles from Oleg Tinkov in favor of Oleg Deripaska, the initial claim was 2 billion rubles. Deripaska accused Tinkov of public insults for posts discrediting honor and dignity that Tinkov posted on social media.
Deripaska’s claims also related to Meta Platforms**: the company was required to remove defamatory information, but there were no financial claims against it.
