I got the iPhone 15 Pro in December 2023, and for the first month I was constantly in the case. Well, you know, this is always the case with a new thing – subconsciously you want it to live in its original form for as long as possible, so on a new smartphone, protective glass and a case are mandatory.

But around mid-January of this year, I took off the case to take a photo of my iPhone for another article, and picked up a new device: completely different tactile sensations.

I liked holding the iPhone 15 Pro in my hands without a case so much that I’ve been using the smartphone without this additional protection for almost three months now. During this time, the iPhone managed to fall down the stairs once, and it’s hard to count how many times I accidentally hit the railing and wall with it.

This is what happened to him after all these involuntary field tests:

I can say with confidence that a titanium iPhone can and should be worn without a case. It is very resistant to external influences, although the tatana in it is only a frame around the body.

I carefully and meticulously examined the back panel before telling you about my experience, and did not find any marks, scratches or abrasions at all. I’m generally silent about the frame, a smartphone would only be something that I was passionate about from the box.

On all iPhones, the previous areas around the charging port were susceptible to damage from the cable connector. The iPhone 15 Pro doesn’t have this.

True, I did not dare to remove the protective glass from the screen. Experience shows that the mega-durable original glass of an iPhone can withstand a fall of the device into a tile, but at the same time, it is not clear how, in practice, it will get a deep scratch. about the air.

The glass protecting the camera block is also in perfect order. Considering that I place the smartphone on the table many times a day, when it comes into contact with a hard surface with protruding cameras, check the strength of these elements, as well as the strength of the test.

Perfect glass on the camera block after hundreds of contacts with hard tables.

The most important thing is that holding the iPhone 15 Pro in your hand and feeling the cool titanium does not get boring at all, and the desire to buy a new case has never arisen. The other day I tried on one silicone one from a well-known brand and immediately took it off – the smartphone suddenly became thick and unpleasant. Well, what kind of milicon or eco-leather can there be when the body materials are much better and better quality?

So, if you have an iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max and you carry it in a case because it’s supposed to and is secure, you’ll benefit from this accessory, at least for a while. I assure you that you will get a completely new and pleasant tactile experience.

I will not dissuade you from removing the protective glass. I don’t dare take such a step myself.

Just know that if you decide to use your “tag” without a case, nothing bad will happen. It will not become covered with a network of scratches, will not peel off in the corners, and will not be scratched around the charging port. The case remains in perfect condition, even if the device is not particularly taken care of.

But you will be holding in your hands a real masterpiece from Apple, which is not hidden behind a layer of some pseudo-Kevlar or sticky silicone. The pleasant tactile sensation remains the same.

I checked it myself, I recommend it.
