“Since 2019, the volume of the RuNet economy has increased by 3.5 times, to 16.4 trillion rubles,” TASS quotes the politician.

According to Rosstat, Russia’s GDP in absolute terms in 2023 amounted to 172.1 trillion rubles. In this case, the Russian segment of the Internet accounts for about 9.5% of the country’s total economy.

Chernyshenko noted that 84% of Russians spend at least three hours a day on the Internet. According to him, this is due to the availability of “one-click” purchases and services. The deputy prime minister added that in 2023 the daily audience of state services would amount to 11 million people.
