Such a service will reportedly avoid waiting and significantly reduce the time spent at the post office. The time it takes for the operator to accept a shipment is expected to be reduced to 1 or 2 minutes.
Self-service zones can now be tested at four branches in Moscow. Post’s plans include expanding the project throughout the country by installing terminals in 1,000 of the busiest branches.
The largest number of self-service zones will appear in Moscow and the Moscow region, St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, in the Urals, Siberia and the Kaliningrad region.
Now Russian Post customers have the opportunity to independently prepare parcels and letters for sending on the company’s website or mobile application. You can also print the form and pay for the service at the post office.
