On Friday, April 26, Beribit spoke on its Telegram channel about the change of direction and transfer of the company, during which discrepancies in the balance sheet were discovered. In this sense, the company initiated an audit.

“These necessary measures have caused a temporary delay in deposit and withdrawal requests. “We are doing everything possible to process them promptly,” the company explained.

They added that all controls will not last more than 15 business days.

One of the exchange’s clients told RBC that Beribit first cited technical problems and then a change in management as the reason for the problems with payments. The publication’s interlocutor believes that the company is “deceiving” its customers.

Another Beribit client told RIA Novosti that he arrived at the company’s office from Izhevsk. According to him, about seven people received the funds on Friday. Now about 15 more people are waiting their turn.

Beribit, in turn, promised to resume payments at 16:00 Moscow time on Saturday, April 27.

Late last month, security forces raided Beribit’s office in the city of Moscow and conducted searches. According to the Telegram channel Shot, the visit of law enforcement officers was related to the investigation of a criminal case regarding the financing of terrorists who shot people at Crocus City Hall. According to the results of the checks, Beribit reported that the security forces did not find any violations.
