Moscow has introduced regulation of courier services. The entry into force of the new requirements will occur in stages, for example, starting May 15, couriers will have to maintain a certain appearance: a recognizable company uniform, clean clothes, long pants or trousers.

The Moscow Department of Transport has introduced a standard for the operation of courier services. Companies and their employees will have to meet certain requirements, which will be introduced gradually, the department’s press service reported.
Starting May 15, couriers must comply with the standard appearance: be dressed in a recognizable company uniform, clothes must be clean, closed-toed shoes, long pants or pants on the feet.
As of October 1, the following requirements are introduced: the courier bag must have a license plate and clothing must have reflective elements.
From May 1, 2025, the requirements for courier vehicles will be mandatory. In particular, it must have front and rear brakes, the ability to emit an acoustic signal, limit the maximum speed to 25 km/h and automatically reduce it in special zones. Lighting devices must be on throughout the working day.
Couriers and job candidates will be issued a digital ID, which they will receive after registration to verify the authenticity of the documents in the Taximotor system. In addition, couriers must undergo training in safe driving rules at the Moscow Transport University.
