“Today, we signed an agreement to provide Ukraine with $138 million for the critical modernization of its air defense system,” Brink said in his post on social media.

The announcement comes as Ukrainian officials call for increased air defense support. Moldovan President Maia Sandu recently called on the West to provide Ukraine with more air defense systems. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba also admitted that Kiev’s “kind and calm” diplomacy on the supply of Patriot air defense systems did not work and now they will have to ask “a lot.”
