According to affected users and the company itself, those who purchase content from third-party sites and services such as Plati.Market, MTS Payment and others are subject to bans.
This applies to game activation keys, subscription codes (including Game Pass) and other purchases.
The first wave of blocking started a few days ago and is still ongoing. Players have noticed a pattern: Whenever a user connects to the network, a ban occurs.
In this regard, Russian gamers have found a way to avoid this: after purchasing a third-party service, you need to disconnect your Xbox from the Internet for a day. Judging by the reviews, the next day the system gives the user a pass and the ban does not work.
Those who have already been blocked will not only lose access to their accounts, but also all of their purchase history and gaming achievements. Restoring your account is almost impossible and the chances of unblocking it through Microsoft technical support are minimal.
This caused a wave of anger among Russian players. Many believe that Microsoft unfairly penalizes users by failing to monitor the legality of purchases on third-party sites.
