“Our Internet services have always been about connecting people through social networks, a unified calendar, shared dashboards, email messages and data storage. This has allowed us to create a product portfolio similar in many aspects to that of Microsoft,” said the senior manager.
According to him, VK Tech’s cloud and infrastructure solutions are “in many ways similar to a current operating system,” although the company’s products still need to gain “maturity in the market.”
In particular, VK Tech agreed to cooperate with the software developer to collaborate on the “P7” office documents. Its software will be available in the VK ecosystem: for users of VKontakte, Mail and the Mail cloud service. VK Tech corporate clients will be able to use P7 solutions through integration with the VK Workspace platform.
In March 2022, Microsoft suspended sales of goods and services to Russian customers.
In 2023, the revenue of VK Digital Technologies LLC (legal entity VK Tech) amounted to 7.9 billion rubles, and the net profit – 1.3 billion rubles, according to data from Rusprofile.
