Since on April 1 the Russian government included AB Holding JSC and UNS-Holding LLC in the list of economically significant organizations, the Ministry of Finance may ask the court to suspend corporate rights in relation to these companies.

As follows from the message of the Ministry of Finance, foreign holdings (owners) carry out actions within the framework of sanctions that prevent the work of the systemically important organization JSC Alfa-Bank, as well as one of the largest insurance organizations big in the world. country, JSC AlfaStrakhovanie.

The Kommersant source explained that this step is the most convenient and simple option for redomiciliation. According to him, this is to the benefit of AB Holding’s shareholders.

For companies on the list of economically important organizations, the procedure for transferring to Russian jurisdiction has been simplified. In addition, they can, through Russian courts, unilaterally exclude participants from “hostile” countries from ownership.

At the beginning of the year, Vladimir Putin signed a decree according to which such organizations cannot reveal information about their activities.

In early April, the European Court decided to exclude billionaires Mikhail Fridman and Pyotr Aven from the sanctions list.
