According to the agreement, it is planned to open education and science laboratories to conduct experimental studies with Cubsat spacecraft and electric rocket engines. OKB Fakel will participate in the design of the technology park and the financing of its equipment.

The university also announced the launch of a network program in physics for the training of personnel in the space industry with the support of Fakel Design Bureau and the Moscow Aviation Institute. As part of the program, undergraduate students will work on technologies for the production of propulsion systems for spacecraft.

The construction of the IKBFU campus will start in 2023 and the facilities are expected to be commissioned in the fourth quarter of 2025. The campus will include six academic buildings, two dormitories, and infrastructure for students, including sports fields and co-working spaces.
