According to the publication, Kiriyenko’s resignation has been discussed for several months, but the final decision has not yet been made. If the resignation occurs, it will occur after the president’s inauguration, along with the resignation of the government. Another source claims that Vladimir Kiriyenko will remain at VK.

If he leaves VK, the businessman can return to Rostelecom and take the position of general director. Sources also mention joining the government as one of the options for Kiriyenko’s future career.

A source close to the Russian government believes that a return to Rostelecom is more likely, since big tasks and high incomes await Kiriyenko there.

As for moving to the government, the most logical option may be a position in the Ministry of Digital Development, say the publication’s interlocutors. However, another source rejects this scenario.

Vladimir Kiriyenko has been working at VK since 2021. He joined the company when the holding company changed owners. Kiriyenko replaced Boris Dobrodeev as CEO.

Vladimir Kiriyenko is 40 years old and the son of the first deputy head of the presidential administration, Sergei Kiriyenko.
