The company will create security tools for iOS and macOS. Patrick Wardle (former US NSA employee) and Mikhail Sosonkin (worked in the Apple security team in 2019 – 2021) position themselves as experts on the security of Apple platforms.

They see an increase in attacks against macOS and iOS and that little protection exists for these systems.

The DoubleYou team plans to use hacking techniques to create defensive tools. Plans include analyzing macOS processes to detect dangerous code, as well as developing methods to monitor anomalies in DNS traffic.

DoubleYou’s founders also plan to create tools that will block cryptocurrency miners and ransomware viruses. They say that innovative technologies are not needed here – the main thing is to correctly implement existing solutions.
