As expected, Samsung is expected to launch a more affordable version of its premium series soon and factory production has already started.
Expected to launch shortly after the launch of the company’s next-generation foldable smartphones, the Galaxy S24 FE has already received model names that help identify it for launch in every region of the world. Them:
- SM-S721B (Global version);
- SM-S721U (US);
- SM-S721W (Korea);
- SM-S721N (Canada).
One might think that information about the new smartphone is scarce. Stronger rumors indicate that the model should have an Exynos 2400 processor, but there is also a possibility that the model will have the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor found in the Galaxy S24 series. At this point, it is almost certain that it will have some features. Galaxy Artificial Intelligence, but it is not yet known what these will be.
In March this year, we published an article citing rumors that all versions should have 12GB of RAM, an increase of 4GB compared to the Galaxy S23 FE. Samsung’s new smartphone will also be released with 128 GB internal storage options with UFS 3.1 standard and 256 GB internal storage options with faster UFS 4.0.
In order to launch an affordable version, Samsung needs to make some changes to the original Galaxy S24 series. The most anticipated changes are in the cameras: the latest rumors indicate that the main camera should be 50 MP. The screen should be 6.7 inches AMOLED 2X, 1.5K resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate.
Finally, it is certain that some changes had to be made to the body materials as well, especially since Samsung had to reduce the production cost to lower the final price.
When should the Galaxy S24 FE be released?
If tradition is followed, the Galaxy S24 FE should be introduced to the world in October. The previous model arrived in Brazil at the end of 2023 with a recommended price starting from 2020 TL. R$3,999.
More information is expected to emerge in the next few months, but it is certain that Samsung’s new smartphone will arrive only in the second half of 2024.
