The difference between Samsung Galaxy S24 and S24 Ultra with 256 GB of memory was almost 30 thousand rubles (at the time the video was shot). But does it make sense to overpay such an amount?
The screen diagonal of the Galaxy S24 is 6.2 inches, while the Ultra version is 6.8 inches. Both devices feature up to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, up to 2600 nits of brightness, and Always-On Display support. Actually, there is not much difference between the screens. The only thing is that the Ultra lowers the brightness more often when warming up than the regular S24.
While the Galaxy S24 has a 50 MP main camera with phase detection autofocus, the S24 Ultra has a 200 MP main camera with laser autofocus. In both cases there is optical stabilization. The wide-angle lens is the same in both cases: 12 MP and a 120-degree viewing angle with digital stabilization. The third lens on the S24 Ultra is 50 MP and on the S24 it is 10 MP. The S24 Ultra offers 5x optical zoom, while the S24 offers 3x optical zoom. The Ultra version also has maximum digital zoom.
There is no significant difference between smartphones in terms of video capabilities. Both devices can record 8K 30 fps and 4K 60 fps video, 1080p 120 or 240 fps and 4K 120 fps slow motion video.
The front cameras of the smartphones are still the same: 12 MP, digital stabilization, 4K 60 fps video recording. You can see image examples below.
In general, the differences between smartphones in terms of photo and video shooting are very minimal.

The S24 is powered by Exynos 2400 while the S24 Ultra is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. If you are serious about gaming it is better to look at other smartphones, but for other tasks both devices are excellent. Be prepared for a lot of heat when gaming for long periods of time on the S24 Ultra, and a screen size that doesn’t quite match it on the S24.
Battery capacity of S24 Ultra is 5000 mAh, S24 – for 4000 mAh. The Ultra version charges faster despite the larger battery, as it supports 45-watt charging instead of the S24’s 25 watts. The S24 already has 0% while the S24 Ultra still has about 10-15%.
