On the one hand, some parts of the company showed growth. Thus, revenue from Ryzen processor sales increased by 85%, while revenue from the supply of equipment for data processing centers (DPC), including AI accelerators and EPYC processors, also increased by 80%. It is stated that sales of the Instinct MI300 accelerator exceed 1 billion dollars.
On the other hand, there was a 48% decrease in the revenue of AMD’s gaming division, which produces Radeon graphics cards and GPUs for consoles, compared to the first quarter of 2023. Revenues from the embedded systems segment also decreased by 46%.
Overall, AMD’s revenue in the first quarter of 2024 was $5.47 billion. This is 2% more than the same period last year, but 11% less than in the fourth quarter of 2023.
AMD estimates revenue for the second quarter of 2024 to be between $5.4 billion and $6 billion.
