Up to 45% of relocatees who left in 2022 returned to Russia. This was reported by Bloomberg based on data from experts and analysts.
For example, in Turkey, the number of short-term residence visas issued in 2023 more than halved compared to 2022: from 132 thousand to 60 thousand. In Georgia, the number of Russians leaving the country during the same period increased six-fold. and amounted to 35.3 thousand people.
According to the agency, the process of return to Russia will continue. This will happen against the backdrop that many Russians abroad do not feel that their situation is stable and face violations of their rights by local residents and institutions, experts say.
According to Alfa Bank specialists, 1.1 million people left Russia in 2022, which is approximately 1.5% of the working population.
