Currently, both Apple and authorized service centers require you to disable Find My before servicing your iPhone. This ensures that stolen devices cannot be used in various dubious schemes.

iOS 17.5 beta 4 introduces a new Repair Status feature. You can verify the legitimacy of the device repair by entering your Apple ID and password while keeping Find My enabled. This allows the device to continue to be monitored through Latitude and displays a “Ready for Repair” status confirming its full functionality.

iOS 17.5, expected to be released in May, will also bring exciting news for users in the European Union: the ability to download applications directly from the Internet, bypassing App Store restrictions.
