The share of the operating system, which reached a peak of 28.16% in February 2024, fell below 26%.
In April this year, it decreased by 0.97 points to 25.65%. At the same time, Windows 10, on the contrary, is gaining popularity and exceeded 70% for the first time since September 2023, reaching 70.03%.
The tendency for users to revert back to Windows 10 is surprising; in particular, this type of user churn often occurs after the release of a new version of the operating system, as with Windows 8 and 8.1.
Microsoft’s removal of some basic features such as the Android engine in Windows 11 and the increase in built-in ads are alienating users.
