This bill aims to tighten regulations and controls on the provision of communication services to foreign citizens. It also aims to reduce the number of registered mobile phone numbers per foreigner, limiting the number to ten numbers per person.
Additionally, under the ministry’s proposal, foreign citizens will need to go through a biometric identification procedure to purchase SIM cards. Registration in the Unified Biometric System will also be required to conclude a contract for communication services. In addition, information on all registered numbers will be available to citizens through the State Services portal, which will allow them to control and manage their numbers more efficiently.
