The move follows leaks about the development of a new device that first emerged in Federal Trade Commission (FTC) filings last year and were confirmed by prominent figures in March of this year.

According to reports, Microsoft plans to introduce its first portable game console by 2026.

In preparation for the launch, the company is running a survey asking participants what portable gaming devices they currently use and what they think of the ability to stream games through Xbox Game Pass.

One of the survey questions was about users’ interest in purchasing a portable gaming PC in the next five years, as well as why they are purchasing their current portable gaming devices.

This shows that Microsoft is seriously considering entering this market segment.
