This innovation is called “search highlights”. An AI-generated piece of code now appears at the top of some search results pages, which can be expanded to reveal the full answer.

During testing, we found AI results were available for queries related to recipes and tech tips, such as “best laptops of 2024.”

On the page where the results are announced, it is stated that the material was created using ChatGPT, and TikTok states that it displays the content if the algorithm finds it relevant to the query. However, not all requests are answered by artificial intelligence yet.

Additionally, there is also a similar feature that appears at the top of search results but without the AI creation tag. The source of this information is unclear and TikTok has not yet commented on the issue.
