Last Thursday (16), OpenAI announces ChatGPT now has integration with Google Drive and OneDrive. This feature allows you to import files from the cloud directly via the AI tool’s chat.
To import files, simply click the “add file” icon in the ChatGPT chat interface. When you do this, a menu opens with options to upload files from your computer or connect to your Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive accounts. It is necessary to allow the tool to access accounts.
This feature is now available for all versions of ChatGPT, including the newest version announced last Monday (13), but only for Team and Enterprise account users and ChatGPT Plus subscribers.
Full-screen spreadsheets
Besides being able to import all kinds of documents from Google Drive and OneDrive, ChatGPT now lets you work with spreadsheets in full screen. It is possible to monitor changes made to the document in real time, including customization of graphics. After finishing editing, the user can download a copy of the document to the PC.
OpenAI said the feature values user privacy as ChatGPT for Team and Enterprise accounts does not use personal data for training. ChatGPT Plus subscribers can configure the tool to determine what data is used during interactions.
In addition to Google and Microsoft, Apple is also developing partnerships with OpenAI. The companies are close to finalizing a deal to integrate ChatGPT into a future iOS 18 release.
