A recent report suggests that the device will be priced higher than expected and may include a subscription model.
Galaxy Ring is expected to be announced alongside the Galaxy Watch FE, Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra.
The smart ring will compete with Oura Ring in the health and fitness segment. According to insider Yogesh Brar, the Galaxy Ring will be priced around $300 – $350 in the US, which is more expensive than the Galaxy Watch 7.
This is clearly a modified strategy as it was previously assumed that the price would be lower than competitors.
The main competitor, the third-generation Oura Ring, costs $300 and offers a subscription for access to advanced features. Samsung will probably follow the same strategy for the Galaxy Ring.
