The Ministry of Industry and Trade, together with IT market participants, is developing a “roadmap” for the development of computer-aided design (CAD) systems in microelectronics. The authorities plan to allocate funds until 2030 to encourage design centers to adopt national software, Kommersant reported.

So far they use foreign programs Synopsys and Cadence to design chips, boards, etc., but they are already facing support rejections.
At the same time, market participants are confident that Russian CAD systems will not meet modern technological standards and will require investments of tens of billions of dollars.
- The Ministry of Industry and Commerce is studying the possibility of prohibiting the parallel import of servers. The Ministry received the corresponding proposal from industry participants. The parallel import exception may also affect storage systems.
- Russian electronics manufacturers asked to introduce restrictions on parallel imports of their products in July 2023. It was proposed to ban the import of ready-made imported servers and storage systems into Russia, but not to limit the purchase of their components.
