“It is very important that it is not commercial, but urban. Here you can train absolutely free,” Beglov said.
The building contains a 30-seat game room with stage and screen, four training rooms and two rooms for team competitions. Additionally, in the center there is an active recreation area with 10 gaming seats, a server room and a “broadcast room” – a room for streaming and recording podcasts.
In addition to computers, the Esports Center has state-of-the-art game consoles and virtual reality headsets. In the future, the complex will include a technical simulator for controlling FPV drones.
According to the governor of St. Petersburg, the city authorities plan to open an e-sports school for children and adolescents under 18 years of age:
“Here they will learn the basic principles of computer sports, tactics and strategies, receive physical and psychological training and develop reactions and logic.”
Computer courses are organized for retirees.
Additionally, there will be a pre-competition training club for professional eSports players.
