The national car dealer Avtodom, which bought the Mercedes plant in Yesipovo, Moscow Region, will begin producing cars under its own brand. Avtodom General Director Andrey Olkhovsky shared the company’s plans with RBC.

As Olkhovsky said, the company intends to launch up to eight car models on the market.
“Today we definitely plan to launch a brand, and future actions will depend on sales, the utilization of the company’s capacity and the partners that we will continue to attract for the development of our project,” the CEO said. from Avtodom.
Olkhovsky also said that work has already been carried out at the acquired plant to reactivate its capacities and that the company is now carrying out assembly tests on the machines. The specialized knowledge and procedures necessary to start sales are planned for the near future.
Already in 2024, it is planned to sign agreements with future distributors. Until the end of 2025, the company plans to start producing new models and triple its capacity. Avtodom will also localize the production of some components.
Avtodom closed the deal to acquire Mercedes-Benz’s Russian assets in April 2023. Prior to this, at the end of 2022, the car dealer announced an initial public offering on the Moscow Stock Exchange. At that time, the listing was planned for 2023-2024, but the company later moved the IPO deadline to 2025.
