Delivery service Boxberry has seen a surge in demand for parcel delivery from individuals amid the SDEK failure. Alexey Bezdetkin, commercial director of Boxberry, told RB.RU.

“Of course, in the context of what is happening, our shipping volume has increased. Delivery demand from individuals these days is 126% higher than the average weekly volume. Our capacity is sufficient to process this flow,” Bezdetkin said.
The blackout at SDEK has now been going on for four days. The service stopped issuing and shipping packages at its pickup points on May 26 due to a technical problem. On May 28, SDEK cited a failure in computing power as the cause of the problem.
On the night of May 28, the international hacker group Head Mare claimed responsibility for disruptions to SDEK’s work.
On the morning of May 29, the delivery operator’s website partially resumed operation following a hacker attack. Later that day, the company said it had begun delivering packages to its pickup points.
