Toyota Motor will recall 3.8 thousand cars in Russia due to problems with the neutral transmission. This was reported by the Rosstandart press service.
The recall affects LC 300, LX 500D, LX 600 models that were sold between September 30, 2021 and the present. The company is reprogramming the electronic control unit of the automatic transmission.
Due to failures in the automatic transmission, when the car is on a flat surface in neutral without a parking or hand brake, the car can move, increasing the risk of an accident, Rosstandart noted.
Car owners will be sent letters or informed about the checks by phone. The car must be delivered to the nearest dealership.
