As follows from the message of the State Duma, draft laws on additional adjustments to the tax system have been sent to the Committee on Budget and Taxes.

Commenting on the changes, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov noted that the proposed amendments will provide “stable and predictable conditions for citizens, businesses and regions over the next six years.”

According to the document, a five-tier tax scale is introduced. For citizens with incomes of less than 2.4 million per year, the rate will remain at 13%. Furthermore, with the growth of income, these will increase to 15%, 18%, 20% and 22%. Only income that exceeds the specified limits will be taxed at a progressive rate, and not the entire amount.

The corporate income tax is also increased, from 20% to 25%.

The amendments are scheduled to be adopted during the spring session.
