Major footwear retailer Munz Group could launch a line of body care cosmetics under the Salamander brand. This follows from the job description of a project manager for the development of a relevant area, published by Munz Group on HeadHunter in February, Kommersant noted.
The head of the management will have to form a team to manage the project, find production facilities and develop sales, including in Golden Apple, Letual and Rive Gauche. The group declined to comment.
Experts warned that difficulties may arise with the positioning of Salamander cosmetics and that competition on the market is serious.
Interest in the cosmetics market among secondary players has increased significantly lately. Home care products manufacturer Synergetic launched a line of facial care products, clothing retailer Melon Fashion Group registered the Love Republic Beauty brand for perfumes and cosmetics, Samokat started selling cosmetics under its Arive Makeup brand, etc. .
In 2020, Munz Group received a master license for the brand in Russia from Germany’s Salamander. A year ago, the group became the owner of brands associated with Salamander in the Russian Federation and a number of neighboring countries.
