By processing natural gas with a laser, scientists separate it into its constituent elements, including hydrogen. This makes it possible to produce hydrogen, which is promising for the production of environmentally friendly fuel, the press service noted.
Studies on the development of this technology were carried out within the framework of the “Science and Universities” and “Ecology” national projects. The transition to the use of hydrogen fuel is consistent with Russia’s energy strategy until 2035 and helps reduce the harmful impact on the environment.
