The largest banks plan to exchange information about customer accounts within the framework of open API technology.

This will allow applications to record and manage multiple invoices at once. Such a pilot project is already being launched by VTB in partnership with Alfa Bank and Sberbank in partnership with Tinkov. Gazprombank also has similar plans.

The project of Sberbank and Tinkoff is already being tested among employees, and by the end of summer its update team will be among the first clients. The transfer of data will only take place after signing the contract and they will always have the opportunity to revoke it.

Customers of both banks get the opportunity to see balances and accounts in one application. This is the first step to managing your finances without having to switch between other apps.

— Director of the Department of Digital B2C Channels at Sberbank Alexey Kruglov

About 100 thousand clients will be able to take part in the extended pilot, Tinkoff noted. In October, focus group participants from VTB and Alfa Bank will be able to obtain information about their debit accounts and cards, as well as see the history of transactions on them. [РБК]
