American blogger Alex Choi was at fault for a video of him driving a Lamborghini Huracan being shot with fireworks from a helicopter.
The video was released on July 4, 2023, but has now been removed from his channel. Choi was sitting behind the wheel of a sports car, and fireworks were launched by familiar girls.
In December 2023, US special authorities began to investigate the case.
It turned out that the video was filmed in the administration on the high lake El Mirage, which is considered federal property. The man is accused of violating laws that prohibit the transportation of explosive and incendiary devices by helicopter. In addition, he did not receive permission to film.
And although he did not set off the fireworks himself, the prosecution considers him the culprit because he admitted several times in the video that he was the creator of the GTA-style video.
The US Federal Aviation Administration has already revoked the license of the pilot who flew the helicopter. Because of this, the fact that it was flying at a low altitude poses a dangerous threat to fireworks displays.
After his arrest, Choi was released on $50,000 bail. He will be arraigned on July 2. The blogger faces up to 10 years in prison.
