MTS Entertainment bought the TicketsCloud ticketing service. The amount of the transaction can reach 900 million rubles, RBC learned.
Negotiations for the purchase of TicketsCloud lasted about six months. The plans of the “daughter” of MTS became known in March 2023, then the start-up was estimated from 500 million to 2.4 billion rubles.
The exact amount of the transaction is not disclosed, but it foresees the total purchase of the company within two years. After the deal closes, the startup team will continue to run the services business, which will continue to operate under its own brand name for at least several years after the deal.
TicketsCloud will function as one of the addresses in the MTS Entertainment structure, as well as connecting event organizers with MTS ticket windows and offering them various marketing opportunities.
The companies will jointly develop digital and mobile products for concert and theater organizers.
- In 2018, MTS acquired two Russian ticket operators, Ticketland and Ponominalu, for 3.6 billion rubles. Two years later, the company created an independent structure and management – MTS Entertainment, headed by its co-founder Ponominalu Mikhail Minin.
