In iOS 18, it will also be possible to provide more continuity between the wallpaper on the lock screen and the wallpaper on the home screen. With the new version of the system, the colors of the icons can also be changed. The tone of the icons will change when dark mode is activated. But it will also be possible to choose any custom color for the icons.
Another new feature of iOS 18 is the ability to choose which shortcuts appear on the lock screen. Currently in iOS 17 we only have flashlight and camera shortcuts. According to Apple, it will be possible to access different applications such as Snapchat from this screen.
With the new version of the system, it will be possible to lock any application using Face ID, Touch ID or lock code. The privacy tool will also be available for features like Search, Notifications, Siri suggestions, call history, and more.
Control Center has also been redesigned in iOS 18. Now with round icons, the operating system will allow you to create groups of shortcuts that appear in the Center. By “pulling” this out, users will see different pages to access smart home commands, media playback, and more.
