Apple announced its artificial intelligence (AI)-based sourcing platform during WWDC 2024 this Monday (10). The system will bring integrated AI functions to the brand’s main devices. The new functions promote practicality in daily life while also focusing on security and privacy.

At that time, the company underlined that the simplest tasks would be performed locally on each device. For activities that require more processing power, the software will enable Apple’s artificial intelligence servers. Communication is done using security protocols adopted in the devices to ensure that no data leakage occurs.

Apple also announced devices that will be compatible with Apple Intelligence, which will be released in the US in September this year. The platform will be compatible with the iPhone 15 Pro Max and 15 Pro, as well as iPads and Macs equipped with the M1 chip (or above). Check out the list!

Key Features of Apple Intelligence

ChatGPT will be integrated into Siri as well as iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia on all three operating systems. Users will be able to ask questions or send commands, and Siri will deliver answers without having to switch between different apps. This will work for all current capabilities of the OpenAI tool as of the latest version.

Popular applications on Apple systems such as Keynotes, Safari, Notes and Messages will be able to summarize, review and rewrite texts. Resources with contact lists will be able to prioritize notifications. The Photos app allows you to easily remove unwanted objects and select photos with specific tags.

The user will be able to create images based on suggested features and themes and will have the opportunity to view a preview to see if it matches what is desired. In messaging applications, emojis can be created in real time from typed texts, creating a new and completely personalized interaction.

Moreover, Siri will be able to recognize new commands and respond more naturally. The assistant will be smarter and will be able to help the user more efficiently.
