Google may be preparing to introduce Personal Security features on other Android phones in addition to the Pixel. Security solutions like car crash detection are currently exclusive to Pixel, but the discovery of unused lines of code suggests that this may change.
The information comes from 9to5Google, which is currently looking at the latest version of its Personal Security app, which is still exclusive to Pixel, and has noticed indications that this privilege may be coming to an end. Lines of text in the program code indicate how it should behave on “Non-pixel” (non-pixel) devices. Cases show how messages should be displayed in these situations.
The examples above show the same situation with the text Pixel calling the mobile by its name and the text changing the device name to “your device” for different mobiles.
Pixel car crash detection is one of the most popular features of Personal Safety. When the driver is involved in a serious collision, he uses the mobile phone’s various sensors and microphone to interpret it and seeks help when the mobile phone owner may be unable to do so on his own.
The lines of code don’t guarantee that Personal Security will come to other Android devices, nor do they indicate when it might, but they are a strong indication that Google is at least working to make it possible.
