Ozon continues to create a portrait of a seller in the market, collecting more and more information. In 2023, the service found that out of 400 thousand entrepreneurs operating for more than a year, more than 60% are individual entrepreneurs, and every third person exceeded the turnover threshold of 1 million rubles in 9 months of the year in study. . In April 2024, the company’s analysts decided to find out whether sellers worked as a team and what conditions were being created for the staff.

Six out of ten Ozon sellers hire employees: in total they created more than 630 thousand jobs

According to the survey (available on RB.RU):

  • 6 out of 10 sellers (60%) hire staff (one out of five works in pairs with one employee, 19% – with teams of 2-3 people, 18.5% – more than 4 colleagues, 5% – more than 10 people),
  • a third of salespeople are focused on expanding their team; 12% are already looking for new employees,
  • 37% of entrepreneurs spend more than 80 thousand rubles on salaries, one in ten spends more than 500 thousand rubles.

The main activities of the hired personnel are assembly, packaging and delivery (73%), as well as product promotion and strategic business development.

46% of teams have an office where all staff are constantly present, and another 29% have some people working remotely. 25% of entrepreneurs have completely remote teams.
