As RBC writes in reference to the Scientist, he acquired a stake in the Banking and Financial Systems company. In 2023, Uchenov left the Ministry of Industry and Trade, where he dedicated himself to standardization and technical regulation.
The founders of BFS are Roman Rees and Artem Zhilonov. They previously owned the structure in equal shares; After the transaction, the shares fell to 37.5% each.
Since 2004, the company has been supplying ATMs to Russia from abroad and in 2022, after the introduction of sanctions against the Russian Federation, it decided to launch the production of its own devices.
In the spring of 2023, serial production of domestic ATMs based on Elbrus processors began in the Rudnevo industrial park. The volume of investment in the project is estimated at 1.5 billion rubles. Of these, a part is granted as a state subsidy, which BFS received after a competition at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
In 2023, BFS made a profit of 1.14 billion rubles, up from 608.5 million rubles the previous year.
According to Uchenov, despite the departure of Western suppliers from the Russian Federation, Chinese and Korean ATM manufacturers continue to operate in the country.
To ensure high competition on the Russian market, as well as to have the possibility of entering the markets of “friendly” states, domestic companies must be as technologically advanced as possible, says Uchenov.
