It is known that the future beta version of Windows 11 will not have the Recovery function. The release of the preview version of the operating system will be presented to users on June 18. Recovery is an AI-based feature that sometimes takes screenshots of the screen and saves them to the device.
Microsoft did not explain why they did not release Recall. The publication’s journalists associate this with criticism of the option, because they called it harmful and dangerous, because in fact it allows users to be monitored. Microsoft engineers will likely work to ensure the protection of personal data of future Recall users.
Note that in the Copilot+ update, scheduled for release on Tuesday, you will receive some other AI features. For example, Windows Studio effects, an image generator, a collaborator in the Paint graphics editor, and “live captions.” Most likely, the public version of Windows 11 with all the innovations will be presented in the fall.
We previously wrote that the corporation introduced this feature in May 2024.
