Starting June 17, it will no longer be possible to obtain an IT mortgage from VTB. The bank reported that the limit had been reached. Since 2022, almost 16 thousand IT specialists have signed contracts with the credit institution.

VTB will suspend the issuance of TI mortgages starting Monday, June 17 due to exhaustion of the limit. This was reported by Interfax citing the bank’s press service.
While VTB accepts and reviews applications, loan agreements entered into before June 17 remain in effect. The bank plans to resume issuing IT mortgages after the government decides on additional limits. Since May 2022, almost 16 thousand employees of accredited IT companies have received IT mortgages from VTB in the amount of 154.5 billion rubles.
The program is valid until the end of 2024, but the total limit for this type of loans may end in July for all banks.
Starting June 17, VTB will also increase mortgage rates by 0.5 percentage points. The minimum rate without state support will be 18%.
