Wild berry sellers held a rally near the market office in Moscow due to the cancellation of millions of rubles for advertising. According to the sellers, significant minuses appeared on their personal accounts after Wildberries announced the disclosure of an illegal scheme to promote goods, the damage to which was estimated at 650 million rubles.

Sellers held a rally near the Wildberries office due to the write-off of millions of rubles for advertising.

Wildberries market vendors held a rally outside the company’s office in the Demidov business center in Moscow.

Sellers claim that today significant minuses have formed on the balance of their personal accounts. The money was written off to advertise products on the market, which they did not order, the sellers say.

The Wildberries press service reported that sellers came to one of Demidov’s shopping centers, who were billed for unpaid promotional services on the site.

“We are open for dialogue and all meetings are held in another business center on Avtozavodskaya,” the Wildberries press service noted.

The demonstration at the Wildberries office came together after the market announced the disclosure of an illegal plan to promote products in the market through Telegram. Merchants set up advertising campaigns on the platform but did not pay for them. According to the site’s security service, about 300 people used this method of promotion. They all have to pay the full cost of advertising.

Wildberries filed a complaint with the police to initiate a criminal case of large-scale fraud.
