In July 2022, several new laws will come into force in Russia: a new tax regime for small businesses (SMEs) will be introduced, commissions for transferring funds from legal entities and individual entrepreneurs to natural persons will be limited, banks will be required to indicate the total cost of a consumer loan.

New tax regime for SMEs, which limits transfer fees: which laws come into force in July

  • For the first time, registered small businesses and individual entrepreneurs will be able to choose a new tax regime - the automated simplified tax system (AUTS). For companies in this mode, they promise to reduce reporting and not charge insurance premiums. The experiment began in Moscow, the Moscow and Kaluga regions, and Tatarstan, and will last until December 31, 2027.
  • It is established that the amount of the commission for transferring money from the accounts of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs to the accounts of natural persons cannot depend on the object of the payment or the amount of the transfer.
  • Foreigners and stateless persons - the winners and finalists of the contests of the "Russia - Land of Opportunities" platform will receive a residence permit in the Russian Federation in a simplified way - a temporary residence permit is no longer needed.
  • The passport will be issued within five business days from the date of submission of the documents.
  • The debtors will be able to request the saving of the worthy salary of the cancellation immediately to the bank. Thus, income can be protected, even if the receiver transferred the executive document to the debtor's bank without the involvement of bailiffs.
  • As of July 3, a requirement comes into effect, according to which banks are obliged to report the total cost of a loan or consumer loan as an exact annual percentage to the third decimal place. This should reduce the risks for bank customers.
