The Register reports that a major security update for Windows 10 and 11 was released last week.

It closes the dangerous vulnerability CVE-2024-30078, which allows hackers to attack computer victims over public Wi-Fi. With it, attackers can remotely run commands and gain access to the system – all without any user interaction or authentication.

Microsoft released the patch as part of its monthly security update on June 11.

The Critical Fix company requires and strongly advises that you install it. Even if you don’t plan to take your laptop with you, it’s better to do it in advance.
